This forum doesn't matter, since only 0.5% of the people on it know what they are talking about.

HA! What exactly are "high end people" ?

Nice. I'm new here, and only came here because the Guild Wars site said this was the only way to get suggestions to the developers, and this forum happened to be at the top of the list. I was just wondering if it was even worth my time to post here. I'm starting to think it might not be....

LOL

Sorry. But, are you kidding? Nothing gets implemented in the game because people posted it here. Regardless who did it.

It takes mass turmoil, neverending threads about a subject, and then something *MIGHT* happen.

But if you ask for forums that "count", I think you should be assured that Guru and GWO are the biggest and oldest forums and carry some weight.

And all that just because support told you to post your ideas on forums. Homer Simpson would say "d'oh".

I pray they don't, what with the outright hatred towards PvP and terrible threads that pour out in Riverside.

God, agreed. You, me, and like 8 other people are the only posters I "respect" anymore (and I do respect people who have differing opinions from mine like Mithran, because there are valid arguements for some things I don't like).

I mean, I have no problem with new players. We were all new once. I have a problem with new players who come on the forum and demand stuff gets changed because they don't understand something.

The problem with that is that PvE is so broken because the lovely guys at A.Net decided that PvE doesn't need to follow the rules that the skills that are being used in PvE are balanced on and thus they really can not afford to do that.
So a lot of times they are forced into taking this middle road and then both sides feel like being RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOed without any lube.

I think you overestimate the impact of one person posting his/her idea here.

Sometimes it might be picked up, more often not.

And this is quite good, if ANet would consider and finally even implement every idea posted here, the game would be a mess.

It is quite optimist that all ANet designers have a free day where they sift through the forum to read all pearls of ultimate wisdom posted here.

So go ahead and post your idea, and be realistic about the impact of your suggestion.

Oh, I'm not delusional about the impact of a single person posting here. I thought the idea was to gain support through these forums. It seems to me though that maybe there have been so many bad ideas presented here that everyone's knee jerk reaction is to shoot down every idea without thinking about it.

I guess I was hoping that I'd see people actually considering other's ideas and maybe attempting to contribute here, but it doesn't seem like that happens... most of the time I think people post without even reading.

It is. And if you read through the thread, you might find some information about what all came from fan forums, including this one.

What shall I say, you are right.

This is a game forum, and communication is too often at neanderthal-level. Dunno why this happens, it is not only a problem of this forum. And people adapt to that style.

There are worse forums, though.
I just checked your age and noticed that your manners are civilized, well above the standard here. It would be an interesting experiment to see what would happen to you if you post here daily for three months.

I wonder if people realize this is actually about Sardelac?

And no, sardelac doesn't mean anything. LIke 0.0001% of the ideas actually get implemented. And as for the Concept classes... Well, I doubt anyone except the usual weirdo's even LOOKS at that place. (I sure hope they won't come here to flame me )
